Theranostics is the combination of diagnosis and therapeutics. It is the basis of modern pharmacotherapy which aims to provide custom made targeted-treatment, based on the uniqueness of every individual. Theranostics is a rapidly growing field and is predicted to revolutionise the healthcare industry by significantly enhancing the diagnosis and treatment efficacy for deadly diseases.
The Thurecht Group is focussed primarily on studying the benefits of receptor targeted payload delivery using “stealth” nanoparticles and non-invasive assessment of treatment efficacy. The following are the current theranostics related projects in this group.
