  • About Anna

I started working with the Thurecht group as a summer research scholar at the end of my undergraduate degree which then carried on to complete my honours year with the group. I have since continued with the group commencing my PhD late in 2014. I love that our group has such a collaborative and supportive environment where everyone is willing to help each other out. In my spare time I enjoy riding all over Brisbane with my bike, visiting markets and trying new foods.
Anna graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the use of hyperbranched polymers as therapeutic carriers for quantifying therapeutic release via FRET. She is currently undertaking her PhD under the direction of Kristofer Thurecht in both the Centre for Advanced Imaging and the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology at the University of Queensland.
